Fractal: Beyond the Void redefines the 4X genre with a sprawling and dynamic strategy game set in an ever-changing, story-driven legacy setting. Millennia after the collapse of the Federation, the greatest empire to ever rule the galaxy, a select few species are once again making their way to the stars to escape their dying worlds. They all have the same goal: rebuild their civilizations and reclaim their former glory. But there can only be one ruler.

Fractal is a living, breathing world with a story-driven legacy campaign: The Aftermath. As you progress through the game you will discover a deep and rich history spanning millennia and featuring cosmic gods, fallen empires and warring civilizations. The choices you make and your victories will affect the fate of the universe and give you the opportunity to unravel the mysteries of the game. The main game pushes the boundaries of the genre with a range of bold and innovative designs including:

asymmetry of factions. Each faction possesses three distinct points of asymmetry: their innate abilities, their political philosophies, and their combat abilities - for a modular and wildly different experience depending on the civilization.
Tactical Maps. There are no dice in the game and you will never lose a battle through bad luck. Instead, the combat system was designed as an intense game of bluff, subterfuge, and deduction based on upgradable Tactics cards, with an initiative-based turn order.
Alive Galaxy. The game contains various mechanics and components whose purpose is to create a universe in flux, forcing players to adapt to the game instead of mindlessly playing the same strategy over and over again.
The design and artwork work together to create a modern, visually stunning take on the genre and a true 4X experience of the future.
